Use before and after photos to win more quotes

Good photos do more than show a nice finish. They help customers picture their own bathroom and feel ready to ask for a quote.

Before-and-after photos are some of the strongest marketing a bathroom fitter has. The trick is to use them as proof, not just decoration.

Show the problem as well as the finish

An after photo looks good, but a before-and-after pair tells the story. It shows what changed, how much work was involved and whether you can handle bathrooms like the customer's.

Take simple before photos before anything is stripped out: bath, shower, toilet, basin, tiles, flooring, window, awkward boxing and any problem areas.

Add captions that answer real questions

A caption should help the customer understand the job. Keep it short but specific.

  • What was changed?
  • Was it a full refit, ensuite, shower room or mobility update?
  • Was the layout changed?
  • Was there tiling, plastering, flooring or lighting involved?
  • Which area was the job in?

Example: "Full bathroom refit in Stockport. Bath removed, walk-in shower fitted, new wall panels, flooring, vanity unit and heated towel rail."

Use photos in more than one place

One good job can become content for your website, Google Business Profile, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp status and email follow-up. Google Business Profile guidance also encourages businesses to add photos and videos that help customers understand the business.

Put the quote link beside the proof

Do not let a customer admire the photos and then drift away. After every strong project example, give them the next step.

The message can be simple: "Want a quote for something similar? Start your bathroom quote here and upload photos of your current room."

Ask customers to send helpful photos too

Your quote journey can also ask the customer to upload photos of their existing bathroom. That gives you context before a site visit and helps you avoid guessing from one blurry message.

A simple photo workflow

  • Take before photos before strip-out.
  • Take progress photos if something useful is revealed.
  • Take finished photos before the room is fully used.
  • Ask the customer if you can use the photos.
  • Post the project with a clear caption and quote link.
